For about 15 years, technology has been a part of our lives, so I have seen a lot. Activity books, coloring pages, and card sets for playful practice. Our Explore Kits expand on the skills your child is building with the Learn and Grow app.

The “How We Use Information” section of this Privacy Policy explains how and why we use your personal information. Our 5 year daughter didn’t go to Kindergarten because of the way her birthday fell. We decided to get the Homer app to help her get prepared for kindergarten this year. She does about an hour and day and really enjoys it. The only thing I wish was that they would do is create a way for parents to check the status of there child’s pathway.
So far I love the app
My daughter has been using homer the past year and loves learning and playing. There are instances where the game would freeze, usually during the Make Your Own Story sticker section. Not as complex as another learning app we use but increased subscription price increased from $7.99 vs. $9.99 monthly. We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in the law, our data collection and use practices, the features of our Services, or advances in technology.
I’m not sure if that’s because I’m in the free trial or not but they send me suggested activities to do that aren’t in the learning path so we have been doing those. I’ll be excited when I get my hands on activities box and we move on from the age 2 learning path. He has done the best reading ever with this program and we have gone through many programs trying to teach him to read. He is in 2nd grade but so far has been more of a Kindergarten level reader but he has is gaining strides daily with Homer. I do wish it went higher in level for older kids struggling.
My daughter likes it, she doesn’t love it. It would be helpful if there was one path to follow that included the reading path as well as the math instead of having to click on different subjects and then just randomly picking things to do. Additional practice for each letter would be good as well. Or having a comprehensive part included in each new letter learned. The program moves too slowly in some respects. Even though it assessed my son at a certain level, it was too basic for him so he got bored and there was no way to accelerate the program.
My 4 year old son is really enjoying the Homer app. Homer combined with daily classroom instruction has improved his skills to prepare him for Kindergarten. Companies can ask for reviews via automatic invitations.
It was nice, but definitely not enough content for the cost. We switched to ABC mouse which has a lot more content, a well mapped out learning path, and a rewards system. My 2 year old wasn't challenged enough with Homer's 2 year old content. Would be great if you are just starting to learn shapes and colors however. It is a wonderful reading program for my son.
